Monnickendam – picturesque place on the Gouwzee

Monnickendam is a town on the Gouwzee, just above Amsterdam and is seen as a small town with almost 10,000 inhabitants and a beautiful picturesque town. When you enter Monnickendam, the first thing you see is the St. Nicholas Church that towers high above the city panorama.
